Set The World Alight

I’m pulling away but the force is too strong,
I want to break free but I feel I belong.
I may as well go with the rhythm and flow,
I may as well stay with the love that I know.

Your love is the food upon which I must feed,
It brightens my life, gives me all that I need.
My life is empty if it doesn’t have you,
If you were to leave I don’t know what I’d do.

And so, stay by me, till the morning at least,
And let our love flow, let us drink at the feast.
And then, in the morn, when our passion has died,
It’s then you will see, if we really have lied.

And if we must go our own separate way,
we’ll look back and smile, and remember today.
So lets take our love and our passion tonight,
And lets set the world and our futures alight.
