Grandad Poems

Walk a little slower Grandad

“Walk a little slower Grandad,”
said the child so small.
“I’m following in your footsteps
and I don’t want to fall.

Grandad

Grandad, you were just a lad,
So many years ago.
You had your loves and had your dreams,
You watched us come and go.

You watched us make the same mistakes,
That you had made before,
But that just made you hold us tight,
And love us all the more.

A little something for my grandad

Grandad , I don’t know if this is just me
That thinks of you and talks to you in my dreams
I just wish I could bring back that day
when we would all come together and be happy
Cause now things aren’t the same
and its driving me insane

What Made Grandad grand

Grandad was gentle, and Grandad was kind, someone you could talk too, say what's on your mind.
