Kiss Susannah gently,
For she has closed her eyes,
To dream of swings and slippery slides,
Shopping trips and cycle rides.

For she is going to sleep,
To dream of Bun and Teddy Bear,
And washing Dolly's long blond hair.

For she is far away,
With Jack and Jill and Goldilocks,
New red shoes and party frocks.
